Featherlight: kunstwerk met veren en verlichting

In het kunstwerk Featherlight zijn warmwitte, dimbare ledverlichting en witte pauwenveren gecombineerd. Het licht strijkt van achter de verheven cirkel van verroest ijzer over het petrolkleurige doek, waardoor de veren van onderaf worden aangelicht.

Overdag speelt het natuurlijke licht met het goudkleurige bladmetaal.

Het kunstwerk heeft een perfecte balans tussen hard (ijzer) en zacht (veren). Het strakke schilderwerk wordt verzacht door de organische vorm van de cirkel, de imperfectie van het bladmetaal en door de beweging van de pauwenveren bij het minste zuchtje wind.

Featherlight: artwork with feathers and light

In the artwork Featherlight, warm white, dimmable LED lighting is combined with white peacock feathers. The light glides from behind the raised circle of rusted iron across the petrol-coloured canvas, illuminating the feathers from below.

During the day, natural light plays with the gold-coloured leaf metal.

The artwork achieves a perfect balance between hard (iron) and soft (feathers). The clean, controlled painting is softened by the organic form of the circle, the imperfection of the leaf metal, and by the subtle movement of the peacock feathers at the slightest breath of wind.
